About KeepCount

Why KeepCount exists

KeepCount is from the founder of Ghayur Accounts and Tax Services (GATS), an Ontario accounting firm since 2001. KeepCount Inc. runs it.

A note from the founder

At my accounting firm, our clients include licensed child care operators. I see their books, not their binders, and that is where the cost of licensing paperwork shows: hours that should go to the program and the children.

Accounting solved this long ago: record each transaction once, when it happens, and the statements assemble themselves. KeepCount does the same for licensing records.

It does not decide compliance; the Ministry does. Its job is to have each record ready before the program advisor asks.

Where KeepCount is, and where your records are

  • KeepCount Inc.

Suite 200, 51 Village Centre Place, Mississauga, Ontario L4Z 1V9.

  • Records in Canada

The database, sign-in and file storage run on Supabase in its Canada (Central) region. A few services outside Canada handle limited information so that email and alerts can be sent, cards charged and the website delivered.

  • Children’s names encrypted

On top of the database provider’s encryption, children’s names, emergency contacts, the names of allergens and medications, and incident narratives, among others, are encrypted inside the database with a key the application holds.

  • When support can look

KeepCount support can open your account only through a support session that your own activity log records, for eight hours at a time, with a second sign-in step.
